About

I’m a photographer and researcher based in Amsterdam. My self-initiated long-term projects explore the complex, often conflicting, relationships between humans and animals. Through in-depth research, I aim to understand human behaviour towards non-human animals, believing it reflects who we are and how we relate to the world around us.
My compassion for animals is deeply rooted. Grewing up in an chaotic environment, I found a sense of belonging in the presence of pets and horses. From a young age I considered animals sentient beings, very capable of emotions, intelligence and individuality. This early awareness forms the foundation of my critical view on how humans, see, treat and define non-human animals.

I am a founder and member of Split Collective.
